The report

With COVID-19 giving rise to a host of novel workplace issues, we recently surveyed over 750 human resources executives and in-house counsel across Europe on their key concerns and strategies.

We thought you would be interested in reading the results, which provide insight into how the pandemic is impacting European employers, as well as the future of the European workplace. The full report can be accessed here and some of the key findings include:

  • With COVID-19 creating greater acceptance of remote work, nearly half of respondents (41%) are making long-term changes to their remote work policies to provide more flexibility. Further, the majority (80%) are requiring or considering requiring more employees to work remotely.
  • Of the survey respondents whose organisations accepted aid from government-supported wage subsidy programs, 59% expect to make workforce reductions when the programs end. And most expect to make them quickly – 63% say they would do so as soon as the law allowed, before the government programs ended or within two weeks of their expiration.
  • Most respondents are taking at least some action to address employee mental health and wellbeing during the pandemic and companies are starting to experience operational headaches as employees use pent up holiday time.

Thank you.
